Chris and Sarah’s winter wedding at the Belvedere this past weekend was a dream to photograph, and we’re so excited to share some of our favorite photos from their wedding on the blog today!
The Couple
From Sarah: “We met plebe year at the Naval Academy in English class. One crisp spring day we were walking back from class when I casually asked Chris if he wouldn’t mind walking a little longer to enjoy the nice weather. He agreed; we had good easy conversation and felt a mutual comfort with each other. Though our paths never crossed long enough for the remaining years at school, we were brought together again in flight training several years later. Chris moved in to my apartment complex, about 100 yards away…and a summer of tennis, beach, runs, and occasional simulator events at work brought us together quickly and seamlessly. Though Chris had done his best to forget about our memorable walk and the connection that was never made…he fell right back into step with me the summer of 2017, 5 years after we had met. On the eve of my birthday he skateboarded over to my apartment presenting my favorite ice cream at midnight…we talked for about 2 hours about the risk involved in turning our friendship into a relationship…he kept saying this was either going to be “it” or we may make a terrible mistake. Guess he was right about the first one. We’ve been in bliss ever since.”
The Wedding
Sarah and Chris are truly special and it was such a joy to be by their side on their wedding day. When I first met with Sarah and Chris they had said one of the things they didn’t want on their wedding day was to feel like they needed to pose and force smiles all day. They just wanted to enjoy the time with the people they cared most about, and have someone capture it all. I was psyched because that’s right up our alley – we love it the most when people are truly present, and that’s what we love most looking back on this day. That, and the killer dance party thanks to 76 Degrees West! Chris and Sarah, thank you so much for choosing us to capture your day! It was amazing! Here are a few of our favorites.
