Amy and Josh are AWESOME. From our first meeting, I loved them and their dog Honey. That’s right, Honey came to our consult! I know it feels like I say this with every couple but Amy and Josh were one of those couples where I really hoped they liked me as much as I liked them and that I’d be able to shoot their wedding. Thankfully they did and here we are! These two are quiet and sweet and have a special love. They’ve been together for about TEN YEARS already and will be tying the knot this November. I can’t wait for their wedding!

We met last Friday at the Cylburn Arboretum for their engagement session. I’m so excited about how these photos all turned out – not only were these two absolute pros (Amy credits her posing expertise to looking at photography a lot online) but so was their awesome pup!

While Honey was occupied with her bone and ball we were able to capture some photos of Amy and Josh together- but we couldn’t go too far, Honey didn’t want them out of her sight!

I had so much fun finding creative spots to shoot Amy’s ring. I was excited to see one of these flowers which I learned the week before was great for ring shots! But I also wanted them to have something unique so I kept looking…

…and I found a cactus! A GREAT idea – until it was time to take the ring off the cactus. Ouch. Well worth it though :)

LOVE this! When I posted this as a sneak peek on Facebook, Amy commented “My three favorite things! Sperry’s, Honey and Josh!” I have to say, it’s a pretty awesome combo.

Amy and Josh – I had a blast hanging out with you two on Friday and I just know that your wedding day is going to be amazing! Can’t wait to see you (and Honey!) again!!
