November 27, 2013 Sarmila + Khalid | Baltimore Engagement Session
Sarmila and Khalid are the coolest most international couple I know- with a bride who grew up living in London, India, Sri Lanka, and Canada and a groom who shares her Sri Lankan heritage, born and raised in Baltimore. My first chat with Sarmila was over Skype from her home in London. We had talked about the possibility of an engagement session before the wedding, and she said they were hoping to come to town around Thanksgiving. Fast forward 7 months, and sure enough, I finally got to meet these two! Sarmila is as sweet as she is beautiful, and Khalid is even more awesome than his cousin Sameeha had promised. I loved wandering around Baltimore with them and getting to know them better. It was freezing cold (are we sensing a theme this week?), and we may have gotten trapped in a parking lot, but we survived and it was well worth it.
We started the morning off at Federal hill, walked down around the American Visionary Art Museum, and then finished the morning off by getting hot chocolate to warm up at the Inner Harbor.
Such a gorgeous couple. Sarmi is just stunning.
I love her ring! Any ring with sapphires is a winner in my book, but I think it’s extra cool that they are Sri Lankan sapphires!
After freezing our faces off all morning, we stopped by a café and grabbed some hot chocolate and a few romantic photos in the warmth of the shop before venturing back into the cold to head home. I love these!
Sarmi and Khalid, I loved actually getting to meet you two this week and can’t wait for your wedding in April!
