October 15, 2013 Stephanie + Tony | John Carroll School Engagement Session
One of the big questions I get time and time again from my clients is “where should we do our engagement session?” and I always recommend that they find a place that has meaning to them. Now if there isn’t a great place for that (for example, my husband and I both met and got engaged at a retirement community) I’m happy to make suggestions, but I’d rather they pick an important place from their relationship. I just LOVE what Stephanie and Tony decided to do. These two high school sweethearts met, well, in high school. So where better to do their session than at their high school? I have to say, originally I was a little skeptical, but when I got there I was amazed at how great of a location this place was for photos! It was so fun reliving their high school days with them. Back at their freshman orientation, it was mentioned that some of them would meet their future spouses here, which made their 13 year old selves cringe, and yet here they are many years later laughing over just how accurate that was. From the first clicks of the shutter these two were perfectly natural and adorable together. I loved spending my evening with these two! They made my job easy. 
How cool is this tree? As I was driving up I made a mental note to come over here. So neat.

This light and location was just magical. Who knew a high school could be so amazing? 
Adjacent to the school was a really awesome public playground. Despite the bees in the play sand (I’m not kidding) it was pretty spectacular! If it wasn’t so far from our house (and infested with bees) I’d bring my future children there all the time! 
Nifty wooden playground + awesome sun glow + adorable Steph and Tony = too much to handle. 
Steph + Tony, you guys are awesome! I loved hanging out with you guys and exploring your old stomping ground. Can’t wait for your wedding next year! xoxo, Brea
