May 20, 2013 Karen + Thom | Patterson Park & Fells Point Engagement Session
I met Karen and Thom just about two months ago to originally talk with them about their wedding for later this year. Immediately I knew that I loved them and that I really wanted to be their wedding photographer. We sat and talked (Karen’s mom was there as well!) for a lot longer than most of my meetings but the time really flew by. They are so much fun and I was already looking forward to their engagement session. We met for their session last Friday and we had just as much fun as I expected we would. Thom’s twin brother Matt tagged along (and was the best photo assistant/gear boy ever) and helped to keep the energy up and keep us all laughing. I love these two so much and I’m sure you’ll see why.
The first half of the session was at Patterson Park near the gorgeous Pagoda. As soon as I saw it in person I knew why they picked the location. It’s beautiful!
I love them. They’re so adorable together.
This is the ring that Thom proposed with. They are still in the process of choosing a setting together for the diamond to live in permanently. I’m looking forward to seeing it in its permanent home on the wedding day!
Karen is from Buffalo, so it was only appropriate that they posed with the buffalo carving in the wall. The first stuffed animal that Thom ever got Karen was also a buffalo and they brought him along :)
Our second and final stop for the night was Fells Point. I love shooting by the water with the Baltimore skylines. Slowly but surely my clients are helping me fall in love with our city.
Anyone who follows my blog knows that I love silhouettes. Thankfully we had a beautiful night sky to work with.
