Dorinda + David | Rusty Scupper Baltimore Wedding

January 21, 2015 Dorinda + David | Rusty Scupper Baltimore Wedding

This Saturday, I kicked off 2015 with my first wedding of the year, and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to do so. Of course, as most wedding days go, it wasn’t without its hitches. There was so much love and joy surrounding David and Dorinda that the little problems didn’t phase them. At the end of the night, there was no mistaking, it was the perfect day.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to work with not just David and Dorinda, but their whole family before the wedding. Having already met Michael, Catherine, Garrett, Carolyn and Nate made the day so much more fun and comfortable. They’re such an awesome family and I’ve loved getting to know all of them! Congratulations to the new “Jalcolm” family!

I started the day by meeting Dorinda, her daughter Carolyn and new step-daughter Catherine at the Royal Sonesta in Baltimore where they were getting ready. We were hoping to use the amazing grand staircase there for some photos, but it was completely disassembled and under construction. Thankfully it’s such a beautiful hotel and they had an amazing suite that it was still so beautiful!

Dorinda had the most amazing fur stole, that belonged to her grandmother.

I love how close these two girls are. New sisters!

I just adore their first look! Even though David might have cheated. ;)

I love the way they chose to do the sand ceremony, with everyone from their new blended family taking turns to create sand art in a beautiful frame, featuring a photo from our session last month!

We rushed outside quickly after the ceremony to take a few photos before the sun went down completely. Such a beautiful sunset!

Up on the balcony we took some family photos with the beautiful skyline! I just adore this family, I want to be an honorary “Jalcolm!”

After dinner, Dorinda and David gave a quick toast, thanking everyone for being so supportive through their lives, and then it was time to party!

Oh my goodness, Brea! I love everything about this wedding! I had no idea that the Rusty Scupper also served as a wedding venue… It’s one of my favorite places to go downtown! So much fun all on in one post!
